It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Dr. Harriet Coeling, the founder of Northeast Ohio Clinical Nurse Specialist (now Ohio Clinical Nurse Specialist). Her commitment and vision shaped who we are today, and her legacy will continue through the work we do. Our thoughts are with her family and all who were impacted by Dr. Coeling.

Dr. Coeling was the coordinator of the CNS program at Kent State's College of Nursing when I went through the program more than 20 years ago. She was an inspiration for my path that led me to become the current CNS program coordinator and lead faculty. She has touched so many lives in the CNS and nursing community and will be greatly missed. I will never forget her leadership and compassion.

Dr. Coeling's legacy lives on in the practice of the Clinical Nurse Specialists who studied under her leadership and benefited from her wisdom.

so sorry to hear of this loss she was a dynamo and she will be missed by so many from CNS colleagues to students to staff who worked w/her deepest condolences to her family and friends.
